Thinking of getting ‘Married in Fabulous Las Vegas?  Here’s what you need to know!

Every year countless brides and grooms decide on a fabulous wedding in Las Vegas.  No other city is better qualified to host your special day than Las Vegas…the wedding capital of the world!  Numerous couples opt to get married in Las Vegas wedding chapels, churches and various indoor and outdoor private and public venues (golf course resorts, mansions, event halls, etc.).  A Las Vegas wedding can be small and inexpensive or large and extravagant.  You can get married in a traditional Las Vegas style wedding, at a chapel with an Elvis impersonator, or do a lavish event at one of the finest hotels serving up world class cuisine and entertainment. 

Historically, Las Vegas has been the place for many to come tie the knot since Nevada does not require pre-wedding blood tests or have long waiting periods, and marriage licenses are easy to obtain at the Clark County Clerk's office for $60. 

When you get to Las Vegas, here’s where you need to obtain a marriage license:

BEWARE!  Outside the County Clerk’s Office you will likely be approached by a number of solicitors trying to sell you on using their wedding chapel or services.  Though their approach is that of a city ambassador, they do not work for the city and their aim is to sell you on the wedding chapel they represent.

Please note, if you plan on getting married in a civil ceremony (Justice of the Peace) at The Office of Civil Marriages, the hours are 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.  Hours of operation for other venues varies, check with your site when times and dates are available for your wedding.  Plan accordingly as the most desirable places book early.  However, don’t despair, many come  to Vegas on a whim and the city can accommodate those who are spontaneous.
