Contrast – As you probably already know, contrast matters a lot when it comes to reading words that are displayed on the computer, on signs, in magazines, etc. It’s the same with personalized ribbons. If you have white ribbons for example, you’ll need a contrasting color. While silver is popular with white, it is difficult to read. Same for dark on dark: If you choose wine colored personalized ribbon and the wording is going to be black, the effect will not be as easy to read as if you had a lighter ribbon or darker contrast color for the text.

Samples – Now you may begin to wonder just how you are going to be able to tell how the final product will look: It’s easy! Just ask for a sample. When you have something in hand, you can make sure it looks the way you want it to, and you can also check to see how it matches with other items in your event. For example, if it’s a wedding, we can easily send you a few samples so you can see what’s best to complement your other colors. No problem!

Fonts and More – We use a Goudy font, 18 pt., which looks great and is easy to read. Edging is another option, and the feather edged ribbons look great, though they are a bit harder to personalize. We started with this type of ribbon, but now we have satin, gold edge, and silver edge ribbons. These last two categories come in a limited range of colors that our customers request most often.
